14 Remove from the bill: Everything after the enacting clause

16 and insert in lieu thereof:
17 Section 1. Subsection (1) of section 26.012, Florida
18 Statutes, is amended to read:
19 26.012 Jurisdiction of circuit court.--
20 (1) Circuit courts shall have jurisdiction of appeals
21 from county courts except appeals of county court orders or
22 judgments declaring invalid a state statute or a provision of
23 the State Constitution and except orders or judgments of a
24 county court which are certified by the county court to the
25 district court of appeal to be of great public importance and
26 which are accepted by the district court of appeal for review
27 or appeals from a county court hearing a felony case. Circuit
28 courts shall have jurisdiction of appeals from final
29 administrative orders of local government code enforcement
30 boards.

1 Statutes, is amended to read:
2 34.01 Jurisdiction of county court.--
3 (1) County courts shall have original jurisdiction:
4 (a) In all misdemeanor cases not cognizable by the
5 circuit courts;
6 (b) Of all violations of municipal and county
7 ordinances; and
8 (c) Of all actions at law in which the matter in
9 controversy does not exceed the sum of $15,000, exclusive of
10 interest, costs, and attorney's fees, except those within the
11 exclusive jurisdiction of the circuit courts. The party
12 instituting any civil action, suit, or proceeding pursuant to
13 this paragraph where the amount in controversy is in excess of
14 $5,000 shall pay to the clerk of the county court the filing
15 fees and service charges in the same amounts and in the same
16 manner as provided in s. 28.241; and
17 (d) Of felony cases, and of all misdemeanors arising
18 out of the same circumstances as such felony cases, charged
19 under:
20 1. s. 316.193(2)(b)
21 2. s. 316.1935(2)
22 3. s. 322.212(1)
23 4. s. 322.212(5)(a)
24 5. s. 322.34(2)(c)
25 6. s. 327.35(2)(b)
26 7. s. 817.52(1)
27 8. s. 817.52(2)
28 9. s. 817.52(3)
29 Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2001.
