1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to Medicaid environmental
3 modification services; directing the Department
4 of Elderly Affairs and the Department of
5 Children and Family Services to develop
6 procedures to provide for expedited approval of
7 state-certified contractors to perform such
8 services; providing an effective date.

10 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

12 Section 1. The Department of Elderly Affairs shall
13 develop procedures to modify the application and screening
14 process under the Assisted Living for the Elderly Medicaid
15 waiver service system to provide for expedited approval of
16 qualified persons who are state-certified contractors to
17 perform environmental modification services for eligible
18 low-income elderly persons.
19 Section 2. The Department of Children and Family
20 Services shall develop procedures to modify the application
21 and screening process under the developmental services
22 Medicaid waiver service system to provide for expedited
23 approval of qualified persons who are state-certified
24 contractors to perform environmental modification services for
25 eligible developmentally disabled persons.
26 Section 3. This act shall take effect upon becoming a
27 law.
