15         On page 49, between lines 16 and 17,

17  insert:  
18         (qq)  Except as otherwise provided herein, delegating
19  ocular post-operative responsibilities to a person other than
20  an ophthalmologist licensed as a physician under this chapter
21  or chapter 458. Nothing herein shall be construed to prohibit
22  an ophthalmologist performing cataract surgery from delegating
23  ocular post-operative responsibilities relating to that
24  cataract surgery to a board certified optometrist licensed
25  under chapter 463 provided that the delegation occurs no
26  sooner than 10 days following cataract surgery, the board
27  certified optometrist is supervised by the operating surgeon
28  or an equivalently trained ophthalmologist, and the operating
29  surgeon remains responsible for the management of the
30  patient's post-operative care.
