18 Section 1. Section 860.146, Florida Statutes, is
19 created to read:
20 860.146 Motor vehicle replacement airbags.--
21 (1) It is unlawful for any person to install or
22 reinstall in a motor vehicle any object in lieu of a new or
23 salvaged airbag that was designed in accordance with federal
24 safety standards for the make, model and year of that vehicle,
25 as part of a motor vehicle inflatable restraint system. Any
26 person who violates this section commits a felony of the
27 second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s.
28 775.083, or s. 775.084.
29 (2) The requirements and other provisions of s.
30 860.145(2), (3), and (4)(b) are hereby incorporated by
31 reference.
