14 On page 6, between lines 24 and 25,

16 insert:
17 Section 8. Notwithstanding any provisions of law to
18 the contrary, the governing body of an inland county with a
19 state-designated enterprise zone and a population greater than
20 500,000 may apply to the Office of Tourism, Trade, and
21 Economic Development to amend the boundaries of one
22 noncontiguous area of an enterprise zone. The office shall
23 approve the application as long as the amended area does not
24 exceed 4 square miles and is consistent with the categories,
25 criteria, and limitations imposed by section 290.0055, Florida
26 Statutes, upon the establishment of such enterprise zone. The
27 enterprise zone boundary-amendment application must be
28 received before December 31, 2001.
