  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to public records; expressing

  3         the legislative intent to provide an exemption

  4         from the public-records requirements for

  5         information relating to bidding or contracting

  6         by state employees; providing an effective

  7         date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10

11         Section 1.  The Legislature intends to revise the laws

12  relating to information used by state employees in the

13  preparation of bids or contracts to perform duties or

14  functions currently carried out by state employees to provide

15  an exemption from public-records requirements.

16         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2001.
