11  Senator Bronson moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         Delete everything after the enacting clause
15  
16  and insert:  
17         Section 1.  Sections 570.40 and 570.41, Florida
18  Statutes, are repealed.
19         Section 2.  Subsections (6) and (7) are added to
20  section 570.50, Florida Statutes, to read:
21         570.50  Division of Food Safety; powers and
22  duties.--The duties of the Division of Food Safety include,
23  but are not limited to:
24         (6)  Inspecting dairy farms of the state, enforcing
25  those provisions of chapter 502 as are authorized by the
26  department, enforcing the law relating to inspection for
27  detection of mastitis in dairy cattle and relating to
28  supervision of milking operations, and enforcing rules adopted
29  pursuant to such law.
30         (7)  Inspecting milk plants, milk product plants, and
31  plants engaged in the manufacture and distribution of frozen

 1  desserts and frozen desserts mix; analyzing and testing
 2  samples of milk, milk products, frozen desserts, and frozen

 4  of chapters 502 and 503 as are authorized by the department.
 5         Section 3.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2001.

20         the Division of Dairy Industry; amending s.
21         570.50, F.S.; revising the powers and duties of
22         the Division of Dairy Industry; providing an
23         effective date.
