  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to DUI programs; amending s.

  3         322.292, F.S.; providing that governmental

  4         agencies and not-for-profit corporations may

  5         operate DUI programs licensed and regulated by

  6         the Department of Highway Safety and Motor

  7         Vehicles; providing an effective date.

  8

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10

11         Section 1.  Subsection (3) is added to section 322.292,

12  Florida Statutes, to read:

13         322.292  DUI programs supervision; powers and duties of

14  the department.--

15         (3)  A DUI program may be operated by a state or local

16  governmental agency or by a not-for-profit corporation.

17         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

18  law.
