  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to insurance; amending ss.

  3         624.462, 624.4621, F.S.; requiring commercial

  4         self-insurance funds and group self-insurance

  5         funds that provide workers' compensation

  6         coverage to participate in the Florida Workers'

  7         Compensation Insurance Guaranty Association

  8         rather than the Florida Self-Insurance Fund

  9         Guaranty Association; providing an effective

10         date.

12  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

14         Section 1.  Subsection (5) of section 624.462, Florida

15  Statutes, is amended to read:

16         624.462  Commercial self-insurance funds.--

17         (5)  A commercial self-insurance fund that provides

18  workers' compensation coverage must participate in the Florida

19  Workers' Compensation Insurance Self-Insurance Fund Guaranty

20  Association.

21         Section 2.  Subsection (9) of section 624.4621, Florida

22  Statutes, is amended to read:

23         624.4621  Group self-insurance funds.--

24         (9)  A group self-insurance fund shall participate in

25  the Florida Workers' Compensation Insurance Self-Insurance

26  Fund Guaranty Association.

27         Section 3.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

28  law.
