1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to Hillsborough County;
3 providing that, notwithstanding any provision
4 of general law, the Hillsborough County Tourist
5 Development Council shall consist of 11
6 members; providing that an elected municipal
7 official shall be appointed to the council from
8 each municipality within the county; providing
9 that seven members shall be persons involved in
10 the tourist industry; providing that the
11 additional members shall be appointed within 30
12 days of the effective date of this act;
13 providing an effective date.

15 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

17 Section 1. Hillsborough County Tourist Development
18 Council; composition.--Notwithstanding any provision of
19 general law, the Hillsborough County Tourist Development
20 Council shall consist of 11 members. The governing board of
21 Hillsborough County shall appoint an elected municipal
22 official from each municipality within the county to the
23 council. The governing board of the county shall also appoint
24 seven members to the council who are persons involved in the
25 tourist industry and who have demonstrated an interest in
26 tourist development, of which not less than three nor more
27 than four shall be owners or operators of motels, hotels,
28 recreational vehicle parks, or other tourist accommodations in
29 the county and subject to a tourist development tax. The
30 additional municipal and industry members shall be appointed
31 within 30 days after the effective date of this act.
