  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the size of individual

  3         containers of malt beverages; amending s.

  4         563.06, F.S.; removing current restrictions on

  5         containers under a specified size; providing an

  6         effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  Subsection (6) of section 563.06, Florida

11  Statutes, is amended to read:

12         563.06  Malt beverages; imprint on individual

13  container; size of containers; exemptions.--

14         (6)  All malt beverages packaged in individual

15  containers sold or offered for sale by vendors at retail in

16  this state shall be in individual containers containing no

17  more than only 8, 12, 16, or 32 ounces of such malt beverages;

18  provided, however, that nothing contained in this section

19  shall affect malt beverages packaged in bulk or in kegs or in

20  barrels or in any individual container containing 1 gallon or

21  more of such malt beverage regardless of individual container

22  type.

23         Section 2.  This act shall take effect October 1, 2001.
