16 remove from the bill: all of said lines

18 and insert in lieu thereof:
19 Section 2. Satellite enterprise zones may be created
20 pursuant to s. 290.00555, Florida Statutes, effective
21 retroactively to December 31, 1999. Resolutions adopted to
22 create satellite enterprise zones under this section must be
23 submitted to the Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic
24 Development no later than August 1, 2001. The Office of
25 Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development must amend the
26 boundaries of previously designated enterprise zones to create
27 eligible satellite enterprise zones no later than September 1,
28 2001. Notwithstanding the time limitations contained in
29 chapter 212, Florida Statutes, a business in a satellite
30 enterprise zone designated under this section which was
31 eligible to receive tax incentives pursuant to ss.

1 212.08(5)(g) and (h) and 212.096, Florida Statutes, during the
2 period beginning December 31, 1999, and ending on the date of
3 the creation of the satellite enterprise zone must submit an
4 application for the tax incentives by December 1, 2001. All
5 other requirements of the enterprise zone program apply to
6 such a business.

10 And the title is amended as follows:
11 On page 1, lines 7-10,
12 remove from the title of the bill: providing for refund of
13 sales and use taxes paid after that date that would have been
14 eligible for certain exemptions or credits;
15
16 and insert in lieu thereof:
17 providing duties of the Office of Tourism,
18 Trade, and Economic Development; providing an
19 application deadline for businesses in such
20 zones eligible for certain sales and use tax
21 incentives;
