11  Senator Constantine moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment 
14         On page 129, line 22, after the period,
15  
16  insert:  As used in this section, the terms "remove,"
17  "removal," and "cause to be removed" do not include the effect
18  of a local ordinance that prohibits replacement of an outdoor
19  advertising sign, at the same or a different location, which
20  is taken down due to:
21         (a)  Development or redevelopment of the property upon
22  which the sign is located;
23         (b)  The expiration and nonrenewal of the lease or
24  other agreement authorizing the use of the property for an
25  outdoor advertising sign; or
26         (c)  The destruction by fire, act of god, or a similar
27  casualty loss of a substantial portion of the support or sign
28  face of a sign located in a nonconforming zoning district.
