  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to prepaid college tuition;

  3         authorizing specified nonprofit corporations to

  4         buy into the Florida Prepaid College Program;

  5         providing an effective date.

  7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  8

  9         Section 1.  Notwithstanding any law to the contrary,

10  any nonprofit corporation that has qualified for exemption

11  from federal income tax under s. 501(c)(3) of the Internal

12  Revenue Code may buy into the Florida Prepaid College Program

13  under section 240.541, Florida Statutes, and award a qualified

14  state tuition program contract to any deserving student of its

15  choice.

16         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

17  law.
