11  Senator Sanderson moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 16, line 3, delete that line
15  
16  and insert:  
17         Section 1.  Effective upon this act becoming a law, and
18  notwithstanding sections 409.911, 409.9113, and 409.9117,
19  Florida Statutes, from the funds made available under the
20  Medicare Program, the Medicaid Program, and the State
21  Children's Health Insurance Program Benefits Improvement and
22  Protection Act of 2000 for the 2001 federal fiscal year,
23  disproportionate share program funds shall be distributed as
24  follows: $13,937,997 to Jackson Memorial; $285,298 to Mount
25  Sinai Medical Center; $313,748 to Orlando Regional Medical
26  Center; $2,734,019 to Shands - Jacksonville; $1,060,047 to
27  Shands - University of Florida; $1,683,415 to Tampa General
28  Hospital; and $2,231,910 to North Broward Hospital District.
29  Such funds shall be made available in accordance with a budget
30  amendment and the Medicaid plan amendment submitted prior to
31  the close of the 2001 federal fiscal year. This section does

 1  not delay implementation of the budget amendment or the
 2  Medicaid plan amendment if such is deemed necessary.
 3         Section 2.  Except as otherwise expressly provided in
 4  this act, this act shall take effect July 1, 2001.
