15         On page 73, lines 17-25, delete those lines

17  and insert:
18         (1)(a)  Effective July 1, 2001, and no later than
19  November 1, 2001, the Governor shall appoint an 11-member
20  board of trustees for each university in the State University
21  System. The student body president shall serve as a voting
22  member of the 11-member board of his or her university. The
23  trustees shall be subject to confirmation by the Senate.
24  Members of the boards of trustees shall receive no
25  compensation but may be reimbursed for travel and per diem
26  expenses as provided in s. 112.061.
