11  The Committee on Governmental Oversight and Productivity
12  recommended the following amendment:
13  
14         Senate Amendment 
15         On page 11, lines 3-8, delete those lines
16  
17  and insert:  
18         (2)(a)  Commission members appointed by the President
19  of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives
20  shall be appointed for 2-year terms. Additionally, these
21  members shall serve as the legislative historic preservation
22  advisory body to the President of the Senate and the Speaker
23  of the House of Representatives with respect to the collection
24  and preservation of the historic records of both houses of the
25  Legislature.
26         (b)  Commission members appointed by the Governor shall
27  be appointed to 4-year terms.
28         (c)  Vacancies shall be filled for the remainder of the
29  term and by the original appointing authority.
