14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 6, line 17, through page 8, line 9, delete
16  those lines
17  
18  and insert:  
19         (5)  Beginning July 1, 2001, $10 million of the funds
20  collected from the supplemental permit fee on cigarettes as
21  created by SB 2214 or similar legislation becoming law in
22  2001, shall be transferred to the Florida Comprehensive Health
23  Association created in s. 627.6488, for coverage of new
24  participants. Effective April 1, 2002, the association may
25  provide coverage for up to 500 persons for the period ending
26  December 31, 2002. On or after January 1, 2003, the
27  association may enroll an additional 1,500 persons. At no time
28  may the association provide coverage for more than 2000
29  persons.
