11  Senator Saunders moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 96, between lines 22 and 23,
15  
16  insert:  
17         Section 36.  Subsection (2) of section 163.356, Florida
18  Statutes, is amended to read:
19         163.356  Creation of community redevelopment agency.--
20         (2)  When the governing body adopts a resolution
21  declaring the need for a community redevelopment agency, that
22  body shall, by ordinance, appoint a board of commissioners of
23  the community redevelopment agency, which shall consist of not
24  fewer than five or more than seven commissioners. However, the
25  governing body of a municipality with a population of more
26  than 100,000 and an area of more than 100 square miles may
27  appoint a board of commissioners of up to nine members. The
28  terms of office of the commissioners shall be for 4 years,
29  except that three of the members first appointed shall be
30  designated to serve terms of 1, 2, and 3 years, respectively,
31  from the date of their appointments, and all other members

 1  shall be designated to serve for terms of 4 years from the
 2  date of their appointments.  A vacancy occurring during a term
 3  shall be filled for the unexpired term.
