  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the health-technology

  3         industry; expressing the legislative intent to

  4         foster the economic development of

  5         health-technology businesses; providing an

  6         effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to

11  enact policies that foster the economic development of the

12  health-technology industry in the state, including, but not

13  limited to, policies relating to the taxation,

14  capital-development, technology-transfer, and

15  workforce-development needs of existing, expanding, and new

16  biotechnology businesses and other health-technology

17  businesses.

18         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

19  law.
