14         On page 9, before line 1,
15  
16  insert:  
17         Section 6.  Effective October 1, 2001, section
18  409.9072, Florida Statutes, is created to read:
19         409.9072  Medicaid provider agreement for environmental
20  modification services.--Notwithstanding any other provision of
21  law, Medicaid shall enroll any general, building, or
22  residential contractor who is licensed pursuant to chapter
23  489, as a provider of environmental modification services for
24  any Medicaid home and community-based services waiver program,
25  after such contractor signs the required Medicaid provider
26  agreement. For purposes of this section, "environmental
27  modification services," also known as "environmental
28  accessibility adaptations," means those physical adaptations
29  to the home required by a Medicaid recipient's plan of care
30  that are necessary to ensure the health, safety, and welfare
31  of the recipient or to enable such person to function with
