14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 44, between lines 20 and 21,
16  
17  insert:  
18         Section 34.  Effective October 1, 2001, section
19  409.9072, Florida Statutes, is created to read:
20         409.9072  Medicaid provider agreement for environmental
21  modification services.--Notwithstanding any other provision of
22  law, Medicaid shall enroll any general, building, or
23  residential contractor who is licensed pursuant to chapter
24  489, as a provider of environmental modification services for
25  any Medicaid home and community-based services waiver program,
26  after such contractor signs the required Medicaid provider
27  agreement. For purposes of this section, "environmental
28  modification services," also known as "environmental
29  accessibility adaptations," means those physical adaptations
30  to the home required by a Medicaid recipient's plan of care
31  that are necessary to ensure the health, safety, and welfare
