2 An act relating to public records; amending s.
3 288.12295, F.S.; abrogating the scheduled
4 expiration of a public records exemption for
5 the identity of donors or prospective donors to
6 the direct-support organization authorized to
7 promote the sports industry and amateur
8 athletics; eliminating an obsolete reference to
9 legislative review; providing an effective
10 date.

12 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

14 Section 1. Section 288.12295, Florida Statutes, is
15 amended to read:
16 288.12295 Promotion and development of sports-related
17 industries; direct-support organization; confidentiality of
18 donor identities.--The identity of a donor or prospective
19 donor to the direct-support organization authorized under s.
20 288.1229 who desires to remain anonymous and all information
21 identifying such donor or prospective donor are confidential
22 and exempt from s. 119.07(1) and s. 24(a), Art. I of the State
23 Constitution. Such anonymity shall be maintained in audit
24 reports. This section expires October 2, 2001, and is subject
25 to review by the Legislature under the Open Government Sunset
26 Review Act of 1995 in accordance with s. 119.15 before that
27 date.
28 Section 2. This act shall take effect October 1, 2001.
