  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the Community-Based

  3         Development Organization Assistance Act;

  4         providing appropriations; providing an

  5         effective date.

  7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  8

  9         Section 1.  (1)  The sum of $192,000 is appropriated

10  from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Community

11  Affairs for the purpose of paying salaries to fund the

12  administration of the Community-Based Development Organization

13  Assistance Act under sections 163.455-163.462, Florida

14  Statutes, during the 2001-2002 fiscal year.

15         (2)  The sum of $3 million is appropriated from the

16  General Revenue Fund to the Department of Community Affairs

17  for the purpose of paying for grants under the Community-Based

18  Development Organization Assistance Act, sections

19  163.455-163.462, Florida Statutes, during the 2001-2002 fiscal

20  year.

21         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2001.

24                          SENATE SUMMARY

25    Provides an appropriation to fund the administration of

26    Act and an appropriation to pay grants to eligible
      organizations under the act.
