  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to district courts of appeal;

  3         amending s. 35.05, F.S.; providing that the

  4         First District Court of Appeal shall establish

  5         an annex in Duval County; providing an

  6         effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  Subsection (2) of section 35.05, Florida

11  Statutes, is amended to read:

12         35.05  Headquarters.--

13         (2)(a)  A district court of appeal may designate other

14  locations within its district as branch headquarters for the

15  conduct of the business of the court in special or regular

16  term and as the official headquarters of its officers or

17  employees pursuant to s. 112.061.

18         (b)  In accordance with specific appropriation 2683A of

19  the 2000 General Appropriations Act, chapter 2000-166, Laws of

20  Florida, the First District Court of Appeal shall establish an

21  annex in Duval County.

22         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

23  law.
