17 (a) The advisory council shall consist of 15 members,
18 including:
19 1. The director of the United Way of Florida, Inc., or
20 his or her designee;
21 2. The director of the Foster Parents Association, or
22 his or her designee;
23 3. The chair of the Department of Elderly Affairs
24 Advisory Council, or his or her designee;
25 4. The president of the Florida Association of Area
26 Agencies on Aging, or his or her designee;
27 5. The State Long-Term Care Ombudsman, or his or her
28 designee;
29 6. The state director of the Florida AARP, or his or
30 her designee;
31 7. The director of the Florida Pediatric Society, or

9 organization, appointed by the Governor;
10 12. One consumer caregiver for children, appointed by
11 the Governor;
12 13. One person over the age of 60 years to represent
13 the interests of elders, appointed by the Governor;
14 14. One person under the age of 18 years to represent
15 the interests of children, appointed by the Governor; and
16 15. One consumer caregiver for a functionally impaired
17 elderly person, appointed by the Governor.
