  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to filing fees; amending s.

  3         15.16, F.S.; authorizing the Department of

  4         State to discount certain filing fees under

  5         certain circumstances; amending s. 607.193,

  6         F.S.; providing an exception to imposition of a

  7         late charge for a supplemental corporate fee

  8         under certain circumstances; providing an

  9         effective date.

11  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

13         Section 1.  Subsection (6) of section 15.16, Florida

14  Statutes, is amended to read:

15         15.16  Reproduction of records; admissibility in

16  evidence; electronic receipt and transmission of records;

17  certification; acknowledgment.--

18         (6)  The Department of State may use government or

19  private sector contractors in the promotion or provision of

20  any electronic filing services and may discount the filing fee

21  in an amount equal to the convenience charge for such

22  electronic filings.

23         Section 2.  Paragraph (b) of subsection (2) of section

24  607.193, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:

25         607.193  Supplemental corporate fee.--

26         (2)

27         (b)  In addition to the fees levied under ss. 607.0122,

28  608.452, and 620.182 and the supplemental corporate fee, a

29  late charge of $400 shall be imposed if the supplemental

30  corporate fee is remitted after May 1, except in circumstances

  1  in which a business entity did not receive the uniform

  2  business report prescribed by the department.

  3         Section 3.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

  4  law.

  9    filing fees for electronically submitted documents.
      Provides an exception to imposition of a $400 late charge
10    for a late filed supplemental corporate fee if the
