  2         An act relating to the re-creation of the
  3         Florida Forever Program Trust Fund without
  4         modification; re-creating the trust fund;
  5         carrying forward current balances and
  6         continuing current sources and uses thereof;
  7         repealing s. 20.3315(3), F.S., which provides
  8         for the future termination of the trust fund;
  9         providing an effective date.

11         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of
12  the Florida Forever Program Trust Fund, which is otherwise
13  scheduled to be terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate,
14  and
15         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the trust fund
16  before its scheduled termination date and has found that it
17  continues to meet an important public purpose, and
18         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public
19  policy concerning the trust fund sets adequate parameters for
20  its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

22  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

24         Section 1.  (1)  The Florida Forever Program Trust Fund
25  within the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, FLAIR
26  Number 77-2-349, which was created by chapter 2000-280, Laws
27  of Florida, and which is to be terminated pursuant to Section
28  19(f), Article III of the State Constitution on July 1, 2004,
29  is re-created.

  1         (2)  All current balances of the trust fund are carried
  2  forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund
  3  are continued.
  4         Section 2.  Subsection (3) of section 20.3315, Florida
  5  Statutes, as created by section 1 of chapter 2000-280, Laws of
  6  Florida, is repealed.
  7         Section 3.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2004.
