14 Delete everything after the enacting clause

16 and insert:
17 Section 1. Section 11.2421, Florida Statutes, is
18 amended to read:
19 11.2421 Florida Statutes 2001 1999 adopted.--The
20 accompanying revision, consolidation, and compilation of the
21 public statutes of 1999 1997 of a general and permanent
22 nature, excepting tables, rules, indexes, and other related
23 matter contained therein, prepared by the Office of
24 Legislative Services under the provisions of s. 11.242,
25 together with corrections, changes, and amendments to and
26 repeals of provisions of Florida Statutes 1999 1997 enacted in
27 additional reviser's bill or bills by the 2001 1999
28 Legislature, is adopted and enacted as the official statute
29 law of the state under the title of "Florida Statutes 2001
30 1999" and shall take effect immediately upon publication.
31 Said statutes may be cited as "Florida Statutes 2001 1999,"

1 "Florida Statutes," or "F.S. 2001 1999."
2 Section 2. Section 11.2422, Florida Statutes, is
3 amended to read:
4 11.2422 Statutes repealed.--Every statute of a general
5 and permanent nature enacted by the State or by the Territory
6 of Florida at or prior to the regular 1999 1997 legislative
7 session, and every part of such statute, not included in
8 Florida Statutes 2001 1999, as adopted by s. 11.2421, as
9 amended, or recognized and continued in force by reference
10 therein or in ss. 11.2423 and 11.2424, as amended, is
11 repealed.
12 Section 3. Section 11.2424, Florida Statutes, is
13 amended to read:
14 11.2424 Laws not repealed.--Laws enacted at the
15 January 2000 November 1997 special session, the 2000 1998
16 regular session, and the 2001 1999 regular session are not
17 repealed by the adoption and enactment of the Florida Statutes
18 2001 1999 by s. 11.2421, as amended, but shall have full
19 effect as if enacted after its said adoption and enactment.
20 Section 4. Section 11.2425, Florida Statutes, is
21 amended to read:
22 11.2425 Rights reserved under repealed statutes.--The
23 repeal of any statute by the adoption and enactment of Florida
24 Statutes 2001 1999, by s. 11.2421, as amended, shall not
25 affect any right accrued before such repeal or any civil
26 remedy where a suit is pending.
27 Section 5. The Division of Statutory Revision is
28 requested to prepare for introduction at the 2002 Regular
29 Session of the Legislature an adoption act that adopts the
30 public statutes of 2000.

2 And the title is amended as follows:
3 Delete everything before the enacting clause

5 and insert:
6 A bill to be entitled
7 An act relating to the official Florida
8 Statutes; amending ss. 11.2421, 11.2422,
9 11.2424, and 11.2425, Florida Statutes;
10 adopting the Florida Statutes 2001 and
11 designating the portions thereof that are to
12 constitute the official law of the state;
13 providing that the Florida Statutes 2001 shall
14 be effective immediately upon publication;
15 providing that general laws enacted during the
16 1999 regular session and prior thereto and not
17 included in the Florida Statutes 2001 are
18 repealed; providing that general laws enacted
19 during the January 2000 Special Session, the
20 2000 Regular Session, and the 2001 Regular
21 Session are not repealed by this adoption act;
22 requesting the Division of Statutory Revision
23 to prepare an adoption act for introduction at
24 the 2002 Regular Session.

26 WHEREAS, the Legislature intends to begin annually
27 adopting the Florida Statutes of 2 years preceding the year in
28 which the adoption act is enacted, NOW, THEREFORE,
