  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to road designations;

  3         designating a portion of State Road 16 as the

  4         Correctional Officers Memorial Highway;

  5         directing the Department of Transportation to

  6         erect suitable markers; providing an effective

  7         date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11         Section 1.  Correctional Officers Memorial Highway

12  designated.--

13         (1)  That portion of State Road 16 from the

14  northwestern Starke City limits in Bradford County to State

15  Road 121 in Union County is hereby designated as the

16  "Correctional Officers Memorial Highway."

17         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

18  erect suitable markers designating the Correctional Officers

19  Memorial Highway as described in subsection (1).

20         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

21  law.
