  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to assessment of agricultural

  3         property; amending s. 193.461, F.S.; providing

  4         that, for purposes of the income methodology

  5         approach to such assessment, certain irrigation

  6         systems, litter containment structures, and

  7         animal waste nutrient containment structures

  8         shall be considered a part of the average

  9         yields per acre and have no separately

10         assessable contributory value; providing an

11         effective date.

13  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

15         Section 1.  Paragraph (c) of subsection (6) of section

16  193.461, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:

17         193.461  Agricultural lands; classification and

18  assessment; mandated eradication or quarantine program.--

19         (6)

20         (c)  For purposes of the income methodology approach to

21  assessment of property used for agricultural purposes, the

22  following systems or structures irrigation systems, including

23  pumps and motors, physically attached to the land shall be

24  considered a part of the average yields per acre and shall

25  have no separately assessable contributory value:.

26         1.  Irrigation systems, including pumps and motors.

27         2.  Litter containment structures located on producing

28  poultry farms.

29         3.  Animal waste nutrient containment structures

30  located on producing dairy farms.

31         Section 2.  This act shall take effect January 1, 2002.
