  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to enterprise zones; expressing

  3         the legislative intent to enhance the

  4         enterprise-zone program; providing an effective

  5         date.

  7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  8

  9         Section 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to

10  enact policies to enhance the enterprise-zone program in the

11  state in order to encourage economic investment in distressed

12  communities and thereby create economic opportunities for

13  individuals living in and businesses located in such areas.

14         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

15  law.
