13         Amendment to Amendment (600753) (with title amendment) 
14         On page 21, line 1, of the amendment
15  
16  insert:  
17         Section 8.  (1)  Section 22 of chapter 2000-256, Laws
18  of Florida, is amended to read:
19         Section 22.  The amendments to ss. 395.701 and
20  395.7015, Florida Statutes, by this act shall take effect July
21  1, 2000 only upon the Agency for Health Care Administration
22  receiving written confirmation from the federal Health Care
23  Financing Administration that the changes contained in such
24  amendments will not adversely affect the use of the remaining
25  assessments as state match for the state's Medicaid program.
26         (2)  The amendment of section 22 of chapter 2000-256,
27  Laws of Florida, by this act shall take effect upon this act
28  becoming a law and shall operate retroactively to July 1,
29  2000.

 5  after the semicolon insert:
 6         amending s. 22, ch. 2000-256, Laws of Florida,
 7         to remove contingent effect provisions
 8         applicable to provisions reducing the annual
 9         assessment on hospitals and other health care
10         entities and to provide for retroactive effect
11         of such reduced assessment from a date certain;
