15         On page 1, line 17, delete that line

17  and insert:  
18         (15)  This section shall apply only to aquifer storage
19  and recovery wells that are pilot projects authorized by the
20  United States Congress in Pub. L. No. 106-541 or Pub. L. No.
21  106-53 or that are proposed as a pilot project or other plan
22  of research and development sponsored by the governing board
23  of a water management district operating under chapter 373.
24  With respect to any aquifer storage and recovery well
25  sponsored by a water management district, the district must
26  serve as the applicant or co-applicant for the permits
27  required under this section.
28         (16)  This section shall not apply to the following
