  1                         House Resolution

  2         A resolution recognizing the 25th anniversary

  3         of the College of Veterinary Medicine of the

  4         University of Florida.

  5  

  6         WHEREAS, since its establishment in 1976, the College

  7  of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Florida has

  8  graduated more than 1,600 veterinarians, and

  9         WHEREAS, the faculty and alumni of the college have

10  discovered many ways to improve human and animal medicine, the

11  environment, food production, and public health, and

12         WHEREAS, the College of Veterinary Medicine, through

13  its Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital and its diagnostic

14  services, extensive research programs, and continuing

15  education programs, provides practical research and

16  instruction for animal and agricultural industries, and

17         WHEREAS, the graduates of the College of Veterinary

18  Medicine provide comprehensive veterinary care, including

19  preventive medicine, diagnoses, and appropriate drugs and

20  surgery, when necessary, to the state's animal populations,

21  NOW, THEREFORE,

23  Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of

24  Florida:

25  

26         That the House of Representatives commends the College

27  of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Florida on its

28  25th anniversary and for its contributions to the health and

29  welfare of Florida's animal populations.
