  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to juvenile justice funding;

  3         revising conditions for expenditure of a

  4         specific appropriation for PACE relocation and

  5         expansion funds; providing an effective date.

  7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  8

  9         Section 1.  Notwithstanding the proviso language

10  contained in Specific Appropriation 1149A, section 4, chapter

11  2000-166, Laws of Florida, moneys appropriated for PACE

12  relocation and expansion may be released without the execution

13  of a lease to the Department of Juvenile Justice, so long as

14  the Department of Juvenile Justice is given a first mortgage

15  lien of 10 years on the facility relocated or expanded with

16  such appropriation.

17         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

18  law.

21                          SENATE SUMMARY

22    Exempts an appropriation for PACE relocation and
      expansion from existing proviso language in the 2000-2001
23    General Appropriations Act and prescribes alternate
      conditions upon the expenditure of the appropriated
24    funds.
