11  The Committee on Appropriations recommended the following
12  amendment:

14         Senate Amendment 
15         On page 3, line 28, through
16            page 4, line 3, delete those lines
17  
18  and insert:  
19         (c)  A 30-day supply of all HIV/AIDS-related
20  medications that the inmate is taking prior to release under
21  Department of Corrections protocols and United States
22  Department of Health and Human Services treatment guidelines.
23         (6)  By March 1, 2002, the department shall report to
24  the Legislature regarding the implementation of this program.
25  At a minimum, the report must include: the total number of
26  inmates tested, the number of inmates testing positive for
27  HIV, the number of inmates receiving special transitional
28  assistance, and the number of inmates receiving medication in
29  accordance with Department of Corrections protocols and United
30  States Department of Health and Human Services treatment
31  guidelines.
