On Page: 011 Restores $385,000 of the $10 million technology
appropriation elimination; the restoration shall be

in the calculation of FEFP total potential funds.

Insert the following new paragraph of proviso following Specific
Appropriation 44 on page 11:
The reduced appropriation in Specific Appropriation 44 shall apply to
the expenditure of funds to evaluate all existing and emerging
technologies that affect the performance of students and teachers except
for development of a web-based standards and accountability management
pilot program that allows teachers to correlate an FCAT standards-based
lesson plan, grade book and resource bank on or before December 15,
2001. Applications to the Department of Education shall require a

minimum of two years experience in the implementation of web-based
modules which are based on FCAT standards including, but not limited to,
grading applications, lesson plans, as well as discipline, attendance
and parent-teacher communications.
