moved the following amendment:
Section: 02 EXPLANATION:
On Page: 014 Eliminates funding for the College Reach-Out Program
($3,999,988). From that amount, $3,586,379 is
Spec App: 72 eliminated effective now. The balance of the
appropriation ($413,591) is recorded in the
annualization column of the budget system and will be
eliminated as non-recurring funds on June 30, 2002.
Fully restores funding for Mentoring Initiatives that
qualify for a local or Federal match (Take Stock in
Children and PASS Project - Best Practices). Fully
restores funding for the Governor's Mentoring
Initiative and partially restores funding for Boys and
Girls Clubs.
NET IMPACT ON: Total Funds General Revenue Trust Funds

From the funds appropriated in Specific Appropriation 72-Z, $1,900,000
is provided for Take Stock in Children, $1,000,000 is provided for PASS
Project - Best Practices, $250,000 is provided for the Governor's
Mentoring Initiative and $186,779 is provided for Boys and Girls Clubs.
Line item amendments are accepted as part of the amendatory process. However, due to the necessity of using computerized systems this may entail a different placement
within a budget entity or the renumbering of the specific appropriation items. |
