  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to economic stimulus; providing

  3         legislative findings of economic hardship

  4         stemming from the terrorist attacks against the

  5         United States; expressing the intent of the

  6         Legislature to enact policies to stimulate

  7         economic activity in the state; providing an

  8         effective date.

10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11

12         Section 1.  The Legislature finds that, in the

13  aftermath of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks against

14  the United States, businesses and individuals in this state

15  are experiencing significant economic hardship and revenues

16  critical to the delivery of vital public services are

17  jeopardized. It is, therefore, the intent of the Legislature

18  to enact policies designed to stimulate economic activity in

19  the state and promote the economic security of its residents.

20         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

21  law.
