11  Senator Wasserman Schultz moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 7, between lines 12 and 13,
15  
16  insert:  
17         Section 13.  The Florida Building Commission is
18  authorized to provide for uniform implementation of sections
19  515.25, 515.27, and 515.29, Florida Statutes, by including
20  standards and criteria in the Florida Building Code for
21  residential swimming pool barriers, pool covers, latching
22  devices, door and window exit alarms, and other equipment
23  required in those sections which are consistent with the
24  intent of section 515.23, Florida Statutes. Thus, the
25  residential swimming pool safety requirements of the Florida
26  Building Code, section 424.2, relating to private swimming
27  pools, of Rule 9B-3.047, Florida Administrative Code, as
28  adopted November 28, 2000, shall take effect January 1, 2002.
