Explanation:
Eliminates the proposed cap on nursing home beds and transfers $2,282,208 in
General Revenue and $2,981,573 in Medical Care Trust Funds previously
provided for expansion of Home and Community Based Services back to the
Nursing Home Care line item.

Immediately following Specific Appropriation  149, DELETE:

Funds  in  Specific  Appropriations  148 and 149 reflect the transfer of
appropriations  from  Nursing  Home  Care  to  Home  and Community Based
Services  based  on  the  implementation of a cap on the total number of
Medicaid  contracted  nursing home beds, pursuant to legislation enacted
during 2001 Special Session B.

Line item amendments are accepted as part of the amendatory process.  However, due to the necessity of using computerized systems this may entail a different placement
within a budget entity or the renumbering of the specific appropriation items.
