14 On page 7, between lines 14 and 15,

16 insert:
17 Section 8. During the 2001-2002 fiscal year, and
18 pursuant to a resolution adopted at a regular meeting of the
19 school board, each district school board is authorized to levy
20 a sales surtax at a rate that may not exceed 1.0 percent in
21 lieu of up to one mill of the allowable 2 mill levy authorized
22 in s. 236.25(2), F.S. Any revenue resulting from such action
23 by the district school board may be used for any school
24 purpose identified by the school board.
