  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to youth custody officers;

  3         repealing s. 985.2075, F.S., to eliminate the

  4         position of youth custody officer within the

  5         Department of Juvenile Justice; repealing s.

  6         121.021(15)(e), F.S., to remove youth custody

  7         officer from the definition of "special risk

  8         member," to conform; repealing s.

  9         121.0515(2)(g), F.S., to remove criteria

10         applicable to youth custody officers for

11         special risk membership in the Florida

12         Retirement System, to conform; providing an

13         effective date.

15  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

16

17         Section 1.  Paragraph (e) of subsection (15) of section

18  121.021, paragraph (g) of subsection (2) of section 121.0515,

19  and section 985.2075, Florida Statutes, are repealed.

20         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

21  law.

24                          HOUSE SUMMARY

      Eliminates the position of youth custody officer within
26    the Department of Juvenile Justice.  Removes reference to
      youth custody officers in provisions relating to special
27    risk membership in the Florida Retirement System, to
