  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the City of Coconut Creek,

  3         Broward County; extending and enlarging the

  4         corporate limits of the City of Coconut Creek

  5         to include specified unincorporated lands

  6         within said corporate limits; providing an

  7         effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11         Section 1.  The present corporate limits of the City of

12  Coconut Creek, Broward County, Florida, are hereby extended

13  and enlarged so as to include, in addition to the territory

14  presently within its corporate limits, a portion of Sections

15  31, Township 47 South, Range 42 East, Broward County, Florida,

16  being more particularly described as follows:

18         DESCRIPTION

20         A portion of Section 31, Township 47 South,

21         Range 42 East, Broward County, Florida more

22         particularly described as follows:

24         Lot 1, Bill Black's Plat, according to the plat

25         thereof as recorded in Plat Book 134, Page 39

26         of the Public Records of Broward County,

27         Florida.

  1         Lot 3, Bill Black's Plat, according to the plat

  2         thereof as recorded in Plat Book 134, Page 39

  3         of the Public Records of Broward County,

  4         Florida.

  6         Lying in Broward County, Florida. Containing

  7         1.9 acres, more or less

  8

  9         Section 2.  On the effective date of this act, the City

10  of Coconut Creek shall be responsible for and embodied with

11  all municipal powers granted in chapter 166, Florida Statutes,

12  over territory hereby annexed.

13         Section 3.  Nothing in this act shall be construed to

14  affect or abrogate the rights of parties to any contracts,

15  whether the same be between Broward County and a third party

16  or between nongovernmental entities, which contracts are in

17  effect prior to the effective date of annexation.

18         Section 4.  This act shall take effect September 15,

19  2002.
