  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to pharmacy; amending s.

  3         465.009, F.S.; allowing continuing professional

  4         pharmaceutical education requirements to be met

  5         at any time during the biennium preceding

  6         application for license renewal by eliminating

  7         the requirement that a specified number of

  8         hours of the biennial requirements be done each

  9         year; providing an effective date.

11  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

13         Section 1.  Subsection (1) of section 465.009, Florida

14  Statutes, is amended to read:

15         465.009  Continuing professional pharmaceutical

16  education.--

17         (1)  No license renewal shall be issued by the

18  department until the licensee submits proof satisfactory to

19  the board that during the 2 years prior to her or his

20  application for renewal the licensee has participated in not

21  less than 30 15 hours per year of continuing professional

22  pharmaceutical education in courses approved by the board.

23         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

24  law.
