13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 87, lines 9-30, delete those lines

15

16  and insert:

17         Section 13.  Effective July 1, 2004, section 212.0602,

18  Florida Statutes, is amended to read:

19         212.0602  Education; limited exemption.--To facilitate

20  investment in education and job training, there is also exempt

21  from the taxes levied under this chapter, subject to the

22  provisions of this section, the purchase or lease of

23  materials, equipment, and other items or the license in or

24  lease of real property by any entity, institution, or

25  organization that is primarily engaged in teaching students to

26  perform any of the activities or services relating to the

27  production of film, video, photography, sound and audio

28  recordings, and other entertainment media, including, but not

29  limited to, special effects, optical effects, animation,

30  adaptations (language, media, electronic, or otherwise),

31  technological modifications, computer graphics, and audio

  1  engineering described in s. 212.031(1)(a)9., that conducts

  2  classes at a fixed location located in this state, that is

  3  licensed under chapter 246, and that has at least 500 enrolled

  4  students.  Any entity, institution, or organization meeting

  5  the requirements of this section shall be deemed to qualify

  6  for the exemptions in ss. 212.031(1)(a)9. and 212.08(5)(f) and

  7  (12), and to qualify for an exemption for its purchase or

  8  lease of materials, equipment, and other items used for

  9  education or demonstration of the school's curriculum,

10  including supporting operations.  Nothing in this section

11  shall preclude an entity described in this section from

12  qualifying for any other exemption provided for in this

13  chapter.
