13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 5, between lines 24 and 25,
15  
16  insert:  
17         Section 2.  Section 231.265, Florida Statutes, is
18  created to read:
19         231.265  Failure to report certain offenses;
20  penalty.--If any instructional personnel or administrative
21  personnel has knowledge that a sexual battery has been
22  committed by a student upon another student and fails to
23  report the offense to a law enforcement agency having
24  jurisdiction over the school plant, or over the place where
25  the sexual battery occurred if not on the grounds of the
26  school plant, that failure constitutes a misdemeanor of the
27  first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s.
28  775.083.
