11  Senator Campbell moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 25, lines 8 and 9, delete those lines

15

16  and insert:

17         Section 22.  Subsection (1) of section 548.004, Florida

18  Statutes, is amended to read:

19         548.004  Executive director; duties, compensation,

20  administrative support.--

21         (1)  The department shall employ an executive director

22  with the approval of the commission. The executive director

23  shall serve at the pleasure of the Commissioner of Agriculture

24  secretary.  The executive director shall keep a record of all

25  proceedings of the commission; shall preserve all books,

26  papers, and documents pertaining to the business of the

27  commission; shall prepare any notices and papers required;

28  shall appoint judges, referees, and other officials as

29  delegated by the commission and pursuant to this chapter and

30  rules of the commission; and shall perform such other duties

31  as the department or commission directs.  The executive

  1  director may issue subpoenas and administer oaths.

  2         Section 23.  All powers, duties, functions, and

  3  unexpended balances of appropriations, allocations, and other

  4  funds of the Department of Business and Professional

  5  Regulation relating to the Florida State Boxing Commission are

  6  transferred by a type two transfer, as defined in section

  7  20.06, Florida Statutes, to the Department of Agriculture and

  8  Consumer Services. All rules of the Department of Business and

  9  Professional Regulation which relate to the commission shall

10  remain in effect until amended or repealed according to law.

11         Section 24.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2002.

18  insert:

19         amending s. 548.004, F.S.; prescribing

20         authority of the Commissioner of Agriculture

23         functions, and assets of the Department of

24         Business and Professional Regulation relating

25         to the commission to the Department of

26         Agriculture and Consumer Services; providing

27         for continued effectiveness of rules;
