  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to school facilities; amending

  3         s. 235.061, F.S.; requiring school district

  4         administrative personnel to move into

  5         relocatables and the existing school district

  6         administrative facilities to be used for

  7         additional classroom space under certain

  8         circumstances; providing an effective date.

10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

12         Section 1.  Subsection (3) is added to section 235.061,

13  Florida Statutes, to read:

14         235.061  Standards for relocatables used as classroom

15  space; inspections.--

16         (3)  Beginning in the 2005-2006 school year, if more

17  than 15 percent of the students in a school district are

18  receiving educational services in relocatable classrooms, the

19  school district administration shall be required to move into

20  relocatables and the existing school district administrative

21  facilities shall be used for additional classroom space.

22         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2002.
